Install Google Chrome Stable On Ubuntu / LinuxMint / Elemntary OS

Google chrome is an open source browser and No 1 browser used by everyone nowdays.and it is developed and supported by Google.

Google chrome is available forall operating systems Linux , Windows and MacOS.

In this tutorial i will show the procedure for installing the latest stable version 33 on ubuntu 14.04 / 13.04 / 13.10 / 12.10 / 12.04 LTS , LinuxMint 16 / 15 and  Elementary OS

Installtation Steps
Two ways to install Google chrome on ubuntu 
  • Method 1: Via deb file
  • Method 2: Via Google Repository
Method 1: Via deb file

Step 1: Download the corresponding google chrome deb file form HERE

Step 2: Install the deb file

sudo dpkg -i google-chrome-stable_current_i386.deb

If you are facing any dependencies problem while installing type the below command

sudo apt-get -f install

Method 2: Via Google Repository

Step 1: Add the Google key to our system

wget -q -O - https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub | sudo apt-key add -

sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/ stable main" >> 
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/google.list'

Step 2: Update the Repsoitory

sudo apt-get update

Step 3: Install Google Chrome 33 stable

sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable
