Install Virtualbox 4.3.8 On Fedora / CentOS / OpenSUSE

Virtualbox is an open source softwares mainly used to create and run Operating systems virtually.

It is one of the popular Virtualization softwares and it available for multiple operating systems.The latest version of Virtual box is 4.3.8 released few days ago.

This tutorial shows how you can install Virtualbox 4.3.8 on Fedora 19 / 18 / 17,OpenSUSE 13 / 12 ,CentOS 6 / RHEL 6

Installation steps

Step 1: Download the rpm file from the HOME website by choosing your distribution,for downloading click HERE
(or)
Use wget to download the files

For Fedora 19 / 18 -32 bit 

wget -c http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_fedora18-1.i686.rpm

For Fedora 19 / 18 -64 bit

wget -c http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_fedora18-1.x86_64.rpm

For centOS 6 / RHEL 6 -32 bit

wget -c http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_el6-1.i686.rpm

For centOS 6 / RHEL 6-64bit 

wget -c http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_el6-1.x86_64.rpm

For openSUSE - 32bit

wget -c http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_openSUSE123-1.i586.rpm

For openSUSE - 64bit

wget -c http://dlc.sun.com.edgesuite.net/virtualbox/4.3.8/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_openSUSE123-1.x86_64.rpm

Step 2: Install the rpm file

[i am using fedora 18 so i downlaoded and installed fedora 18 32 bit rpm file]

sudo rpm -i VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.8_92456_fedora18-1.i686.rpm

Step 3: Verify installed successfully or not.....
