Install HPLIP 3.14.3 On Ubuntu /LinuxMint

HPLIP stands for HP Linux Imaging and Printing,which is developed and run by HP for Linux Platforms,by using this software anyone can take Printout,scanning and copier using Laserjet and Inkjet Printers

In this Tutorial i will show you how to install the Latest version of HPLIP on Ubuntu 13.10 / 13.04 / 12.10 / 12.04 LTS and Linuxmint 16 / 15 / 14 and Debian, Fedora and OpenSUSE

The Latest Version of HPLIP is 3.14.3 released recently and comes with the following fixes and changes and some Linux distribution support they have added

Added support to the following Distributions
  • Debian 6.0.9,7.3 and 7.4
  • LinuxMint 16
  • Fedora 20
Added support to the following printers
  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4640 e-All-in-One Printer series
  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4645 e-All-in-One Printer
  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4646 e-All-in-One Printer
  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4648 e-All-in-One Printer
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125a
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125nw
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125rnw
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M126a
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M126nw
  • HP LaserJet Pro MFP M127fp

Installation steps

Step 1: Download the installer file

Download installer file from the Sourceforge website HERE

Step 2: Give Execute Permissions to the Installer
sudo chmod -R 755
Step 3: Install HPLIP 3.14.3
sudo ./
Once Installation started it will start to install all those dependencies and drivers you need to press yes or no according to your needs.
