Install LibreOffice 4.2.3 On Fedora / CentOS / OpenSUSE

Libreoffice released its new stable version 4.2.3 and it is an alternative software to openoffice and Microsoft office,Libreoffice is available for Multiple operating systems ie Windows ,Linux and Mac OSX

In this tutorial I will show you how to install Libre office 4.2.3 On Fedora 20 /19 , CentOS 6.X ,OpenSUSE & Redhat 6.X

Installation Steps

Step 1: Download Libreoffice 4.2.3 from the official download page
  • For 64bit Package Click HERE
  • For 32bit Package click HERE
(OR)

Download using wget
For 32 bit systems
wget -c 
ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/tdf/libreoffice/stable/4.2.3/rpm/x86/LibreOffice_4.2.3_Linux_x86_rpm.tar.gz
For 64 bit systems
wget -c ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/tdf/libreoffice/stable/4.2.3/rpm/x86_64/LibreOffice_4.2.3_Linux_x86-64_rpm.tar.gz
Step 2: After Downloading  extract tar package .
tar -xvfz LibreOffice_4.2.3_Linux_x86_rpm.tar.gz
Step 3: Logging as a root user or otherwise use sudo and go inside the rpms folder and issue the command..
sudo rpm -i *.rpm
Step 4: Install Desktop Integrations or Menu Entries
sudo -ivh *.rpm
Step 5: Check Installed properly or not .In terminal type 
libreoffice
