Install VLC Media Player 2.1.5 On Ubuntu / LinuxMint / PinguyOS

VLC player a free open source mutimedia  player.It is one of the most prefed player by users because it supports all video formats and also audio formats too.It also supports Multimedia files from DVD ,VCD and Audio CD and etc...

VLC  2.1.5 was released recently with a fixes of bugs from version 2.1.4

In this tutorial i will show you how to install the latest stable version of VLC 2.1.5 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS / 12.04 LTS ,  LinuxMint 17 / 16 / 15 , Pinguy OS 14.04 LTS and Elementary OS

Installation Steps

Step 1: Add the Official VLC PPA
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/stable-daily
Step 2: Update the Repository
sudo apt-get update
Step  3: Install VLC 2.1.5 
sudo apt-get install vlc

For removing the VLC 2.1.5 run the below command in terminal
sudo apt-get remove vlc
