In this Tutorial I will show you how to install the Firefox 43.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS , LinuxMint / Fedora 21 / 20 / CentOS 6.X / 7.X


Firefox a most commonly used browsers by everyone and one of the standard browsers too.It is an opensource browser and it is developed by mozilla corporation and mozilla Foundation.It is available for Multiple Operating systems (ie) Windows,Linux,Mac OSX.
 

Firefox Released its new stable Version 43 on 25th December 2015
 

Installation Steps
 

Method 1 (For debian based systems via PPA)

 Best and easy way is to upgrade firefox by updating the Repository.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
Method 2:
 

Step 1:Download The Latest Version of Firefox 43 from their FTP
 

For Downloading from Mozilla FTP Click HERE
 

(Or)

Use wget


For 32 bit systems

wget https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/latest/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-43.0.tar.bz2
For 64 bit systems
wget https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/latest/linux-x86_64/en-US/firefox-43.0.tar.bz2
Step 2: Extract the tar package
tar -xjf firefox-43.0.tar.bz2
Step 3: Move the Firefox43 Folder to opt
Remove the Older version of firefox if it's there

sudo rm -rf /opt/firefox
sudo mv firefox /opt/firefox43
Step 4: Create Symbolic link for New Firefox as default
sudo ln -s /opt/firefox43/firefox /usr/bin/firefox
