BleachBit is an open source and similar to CCleaner available for Linux and windows operating systems.It mainly cleans the applications include Mozilla Firefox, Internet explorer, Adobe flash, Chrome, Safari and etc...
It has the shredding options to prevent recovery of data and quickly frees disk space, cache, cookies, logs ,Internet history and etc ...
In this Tutorial I will show you how to install the Latest Version of cleaner BleachBit 1.10 On Ubuntu 14.04 LTS /other versions and LinuxMint.
Uses of Bleachbit
- Frees disk space
- Maintain privacy
- Improve system performance (by vacuuming the Firefox database, ie example)
There is no official PPA for installing the bleachbit, The deb files are available in their home site based on the distributions.

After downloading the deb files install the gdebi to auto install dependencies
sudo apt-get install gdebiStep 1:Download the deb file from the home site
wget https://katana.oooninja.com/bleachbit/sf/bleachbit_1.10_all_ubuntu1404.debStep 2: Install Bleachbit 1.10.0
gdebi bleachbit_1.10_all_ubuntu1404.debUninstallation steps
sudo apt-get remove bleachbit*
