Install / Remove Avidemux 2.6.19 in Ubuntu 16.04

In this Tutorial i will show you how to install the latest version of Avidemux 2.6.19 in Ubuntu 16.04 / 14.04 

Avidemux is a free video editor mainly for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks. It supports AVI, MPEG files, MP4 and ASF by using variety of codecs

It supports scripting, job queue and automation using projects, and it is available for all operating systems Linux, BSD, Mac OSX and windows under GNU GPL License.

Installation Steps:

Avidemux can be installed via PPA or by GetDeb Repository

Install it via GetDeb

Step 1 : Open terminal and add the GetDeb repository
sudo sh -c 'echo "deb $(lsb_release -sc)-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
Step 2 : Add the key for trusting the packages from repos
wget -q -O- | sudo apt-key add -
Step 3 : Install the Avidemux 2.6.19
sudo apt update && sudo apt install avidemux2.6-qt

 Uninstall Avidemux 2.6.19

sudo apt remove avidemux2.6-qt
